Who Would Win

Who Would Win!!!

We come across many situations in our lives when we find ourselves in a quandary. Once bitten twice shy, in the backdrop of varied experiences, we tend to draw a line and justify following the same line. This we do without bothering to know if we are right. Our feelings qualify to be the justification of our thinking.

One can describe this by mentioning the experience of a woman who finds always-getting stares from unknown people of the other sex; and that this disturbs her thoroughly. In the process, she writes about tips for other women that could save her/them from the alleged eve teasers. Every kind of an eve teaser is placed in a category, with confirmed traits. Counseling other fellows to learn self defense 'tips also stressed.

Now to say that eve teasing does not take place. This ill has been pervading the society since civilizations surfaced on the earth. Civilizations were always civilized can be said with a little pinch of salt. Times immemorial, there have been fights over jar, joru and Jameen. Fierce battles have been fought for 'possession' of these three.

Females relentless have been vehemently protesting this male attitude. There were perversions in the society that led to these kind of events taking place. However, this kind of attitude remained  confined to 'mightiest' of person in the society. When 'might is right' was the dictum. Princely states had 'herms'. Where women faced exploitation and took that as their destiny.

Changes have changed the outlook of the society. Yet we find the roots of the ills pervading the society. One has to devise his own defense system. There is nothing wrong in classifying people of this clan for identification and prevention of offences likely to be committed. This classification would save the rest for respect.

Who would resort to eve teasing, one can find the worm in any person irrespective of age, caste or creed. We need to protect our womenfolk from such intruders of their privacy and independence. Some times, such simple a thing does not get to one's head and comes only on second thoughts. It is the duty of the noble kind of souls of the society otherwise; it shall remain a win win situation for the offenders.

For this the womenfolk have to devise ways, I am not suggesting that every girl to be black belt expert. However, some basic tips can always be learned. One very simple gadget in self-protection is ignition key of one's scooter or car. Firmly held in hand, its strike on the offender can cause him to retreat from the scene as a repeat strike may faint him.

I offer kudos to those in our society who have guts enough to rise above normal thinking and work on a subject, w'w'.w. as suggested by the title of this blog.

The rules sought to be applied till now have been observed as "repealed" by the JSF, Chandigarh Administration, yet some of the junior level functionaries are passing on the matter to their seniors in a mechanical manner and hence the woes of the hapless GPAs have yet to be redressed by the Administration. I shall continue writing on the subject and every subsequent article shall endeavor to bring out the anamolied
